MPIA met with the Economics Department officers of Bank Negara on 28 July 2021.
The meeting was hosted by Bank Negara with the purpose of seeking input from MPIA on electricity sustainability as the central bank was looking into the ‘green transition’ of the national economy.
During the discussion, MPIA provided input on how Malaysia could leverage on renewable energy trend and policy to create more economic benefits for the country.
The policy, market segment, technical, financial and commercial aspects of the local solar photovoltaic (PV) industry were all discussed during the meeting.
